Terms and Conditions

Reservations/Confirmations
All accommodation reservations must be confirmed on time of booking by either a valid Debit/credit card deposit or full pre-payment. By issuing the Debit/credit card details the booker is giving Rose Dene, Scarborough permission to take payment from the card, if a reservation is cancelled or if an account is left unpaid. Rose Dene, Scarborough does not hold provisional bookings. Once a reservation has been confirmed, where possible Rose-Dene will confirm the reservation back in writing via letter or email.

Deposits
The Rose Dene requires a deposit equal in value to the first night of your stay.
Deposits are refundable up to 7 days before your stay. If you are unable to stay due to having Covid-19 your deposit will be refunded up to 24 hours before (proof may be requested). In the event of a no show the full value of your stay will be charged.
We will not be taking deposits for stays in 2020. 

Bedroom Rates
Rates will be subject to change at any time and vary with room, the season and local events.

Check In
Check in is from 2pm - 6pm on the day of arrival and full payment will be required. With regard to group bookings it is the responsibility of the booker to inform all of their guests of the check in time. Please let us know what time what time you are arriving as there may be no one available to check you in should you arrive outside these hours (Payment would still be required.) Late arrival may result in your room being re-let. Please note if you have booked through a third party check in 3pm- 6pm.

Check Out
We ask that guests vacate their room by 11 am on the day of departure; if you wish to you can extend your departure time up to 12 noon for a supplement, subject to availability on the morning of departure. Please note if you have booked through a third party check out is 10 am.

Credit Card
Rose Dene only accepts the following valid credit cards, MasterCard, Visa, Switch/Maestro. Unless otherwise agreed, a payment link will be sent for payment before arrival. This is to keep payments contactless.

Foreign Currency
Rose Dene, Scarborough does not accept or exchange any foreign currency.

Cash Back
Rose Dene, Scarborough does not offer a cash back facility with any credit or debit cards.

Cancellation Insurance
We recommend a holiday cancellation insurance policy, which covers cancellation through illness, accidents, bad weather, etc. 

Cancellation by Rose Dene, Scarborough
Rose Dene, Scarborough shall have the right at any time (giving such notice as possible to the guest) to cancel the accommodation without recourse or liability to the guest for any loss, damage or changes caused by circumstances outside its control including, without limitation, an "Act of God", war or the threat of war, riot, civil strike, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disasters, extreme weather conditions or other event or circumstances which were unusual and unforeseeable and the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all due care had been exercised.

Health and Safety
The Guests using the facilities at Rose Dene must comply with all the regulations concerning, law, fire, health and safety. 

Covid-19
If you are displaying any symptoms or feel unwell before your stay, please let us know as soon as possible and do not travel. If you get symptoms during your stay you will be asked to obtain a test and return home if it is safe to do so. If you are unable to return home, you will be charged any costs associated with your continued stay. Social distancing of 2 metres must be maintained and signs followed where possible 

Data Protection Policy
The Rose Dene, Scarborough is committed to protecting. Your personal details will not be sold on or passed on to third parties. Please read our separate Privacy policy for more details

Charges
Any damage to the Rose Dene or its contents will result in a charge.
Any breach in Rose Dene policy e.g. smoking in bedroom will result in a charge.

Complaints
We attempt to deal with complaints as speedily as possible; complaints must be addressed to the proprietor immediately and given sufficient opportunity to rectify the situation to your satisfaction.

Recompense
Any recompense given and accepted at the time of departure or earlier is accepted by the guest and made by the Rose Dene as full and final settlement of all matters declared or not up to the point of recompense. Any recompense given and accepted after departure at any time after this event is accepted by the guest and made by the Rose Dene, Scarborough as full and final settlement of all matters declared or not up to the point of recompense

Relaxation of Terms and Conditions
The Guest House may relax any of the aforementioned terms and conditions without prejudicing the right to subsequently strictly enforce them.
Covid-19 procedures

On re-opening on 17th July we will introducing a range of measures some of which will be temporary. Please contact us to check.

Not all rooms will be available to guests to book, meaning less people in the building. Limited to 4 rooms to begin with.
All rooms will have 2 days between guests to begin with, and will have enhanced cleaning in place in line with Government guidance.
The breakfast room will be available for breakfast only, and the number of available breakfasts will be restricted. This will be done at booking stage.
There will be no daily room service. Longer stays will have service agreed on check in.
We have installed a hand sanitizer dispenser outside our front door, and other dispensers are available in public places.
Social distancing of 2 metres must be maintained where possible. All Covid-19 signs must be followed where possible.

All stays extended due to Covid-19 are chargeable at the appropriate room rate.
These measures have been put in place to help keep our guests safe and some of them may be relaxed at any time it is suitable to do so.
